Volunteer of the Month – Carey Dave

Volunteer of the Month

Our volunteer of the month is Carey Dave. She is one of our most committed and all-around helpful volunteers. Not only has Carey delivered meals consistently, she volunteers in The Diner as a host and attends The Joy Bus events. That’s not all, Carey has also worked independently to raise funds for The Joy Bus. Carey is a sensational volunteer with a good heart and a strong commitment to a cause she believes in.

Volunteer of the Month – Frank Lyons

Why I volunteer with The Joy Bus:

“First of all my wife is a 3 time cancer survivor. I celebrate her life every day.
Second we are passionate foodies and consider ourselves great home cooks
Third… The Joy Bus mission. We happened to read a story in the paper last year. We came and had breakfast and I’ve been volunteering ever since.
I get so much JOY in return.

I love the fact that I can touch a lot of lives and hopefully bring some happiness to our community. Thanks for having me!” – Frank Lyons

Volunteer of the Month – Nancy Hollack

“The Joy Bus has so much LOVE emanating from their program. Everyone seems so glad to be there. I love giving a client a bag of food with flowers popping out of the top. I love Carol and her send off speech telling us we are all loved. Everyone is so friendly it makes you want to come back again. 😋❤️” – Nancy Hollack

Volunteer of the Month – Dora Cagnetto

“I have had the privilege of volunteering for TJB for 6 1/2 years. I have had the opportunity to experience many aspects of the organization including volunteering at events, prepping in the kitchen, and picking up produce at the farm. But, by far, the most humbling and rewarding experience has been the opportunity to deliver meals every week to some of the most gracious and wonderful people in our community. The people we deliver to are so appreciative of the delicious meals we deliver in the beautiful hand-decorated bags as they face their challenges. I have been fortunate enough to meet some of the bravest and most incredible people, many of whom I now call friends. It is definitely “More than a Meal” and this why I am passionate about serving as a volunteer for TJB.” – Dora

Volunteer of the Month – Rob Muller

Our #VolunteeroftheMonth for February is the amazing Rob Muller! Rob is thrilled to be here and help The Joy Bus in any way he can and we are so appreciative of his time and talents. He not only delivers meals to the people with cancer that we serve but here’s a juicy secret: Rob is the ONLY person on this planet that Jennifer Caraway trusts to prepare her signature red chile sauce with perfect execution every single week.
